Every year, Boston Bhangra puts on a world-class bhangra dance competition. For the last few years, this event has taken place at the Orpheum Theatre, in downtown Boston.
The historic theatre holds ~3,000 people who are there eager to see the best in bhangra dance from around North America. As part of the annual event, I design these print pieces, along with other multimedia elements, to get the crowd excited for what they are about to see. The event is a sell out every year, and attracts a very diverse audience that reflects Boston’s love of exciting dance. This is the front and back cover of the 2008 Competition program. Every attendee received this full-color brochure with details about all of the teams, history of the event, as well as well wishes and advertisements from our sponsors.

This newspaper ad was run in the Boston area to promote the event. It ran as a half-page advertisement.

This T-Shirt design was selected as the 2008 Official BBC Competitor shirt. We made ~300 of them and gave them out to the competing dancers.

As part of my role on the executive board of directors for Boston Bhangra, I created this brochure design. It is for the program guide that we handed out to our sold out crowd at the 2007 Boston Bhangra Competition.

To go along with this design, I complemented it with a set of on-screen material to kickoff the program and say thanks to our many volunteers. Design samples after the jump.
